The combined Nalgonda district witnessed two separate road accidents on Wednesday with seven individuals, including two women, losing their lives.

In the first accident, a speeding car (car no TS08EH8658) collided head-on with a bike (AP 28 DT 5677) carrying three passengers, resulting in the immediate death of at least five individuals. The accident occurred in Narsarlapalli of Chintapalli police limits in Nalgonda district. Among the deceased were Maddimadugu Prasad, 38, the driver, his wife Maddimadugu Ramana, 35, and their son Maddimadugu Avinash, 12, a Class VII student, all residents of Akkampalli village. The other two victims were Patnapu Manipal, 18, a first-year degree student, and Vanam Mallikarjun, 18, also a first-year degree student, both residents of Kurmapalli



village.

According to Chintapalli sub inspector D. Satish Reddy, the car lost control and collided with the oncoming bike, causing the fatal accident. The car overturned in the process, and the bike was completely destroyed. Overspeeding was cited as the cause of the mishap. The bodies were transported to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.

In the second accident, an RTC bus (AP 35 Z 0197) from the Thorrur depot, en route from Thorrur to Hyderabad, veered off course and plunged into a canal at Boddugudem in Addagudur police limits of Yadadri district. Two individuals, Ch Yakamma, 50, from China Padisala in Addagudur mandal, and K. Ramulu from BB Nagar, lost their lives on the spot. Additionally, 20 others sustained injuries in the accident.
