Kothagudem: In a rather strange marriage ceremony that took place at Yellandu in the district, a man and a transgender tied the knot proving the fact that love could transcend anything. 

It was said that the man Gudepu Rupesh, a daily wage worker of Bhupalpally district fell in love with a transgender Revathi alias Akhila of Anamtogu village of Allapalli mandal in Kothagudem district some three years ago.

They lived together for some time and later decided to get married. Their nuptials took place



at a Station Basti area at Yellandu on Friday in a grand manner in the presence of their family members, relatives and friends, much to the curiosity of many. Sharing their love tale with the media Rupesh said their acquaintance turned into love and after cohabitation they decided to make their relationship permanent. They persuaded their family members and got married with their consent, he informed.

A large number of transgender persons from across Khammam, Warangal, Bhuplapally and Kothagudem districts attended the marriage.
