A massive fire broke out at RS Brothers clothing store in Hyderabad's Abids on Friday at midnight. The incident took place after the staff closed the shop at late night and left.
The security staff and locals who found the fumes coming from a closed shop informed the fire department officials. The firefighters reached the spot and tried to open the shop. But they did not open up for a while. The fire broke out on the first floor and spread to the other three floors. All the clothes and
ready-made dresses caught fire and were destroyed.
Fire tenders worked for nearly four hours in the four-story building to douse the flames. No casualties have been reported in the accident.
Police received information on the incident and are investigating whether or not there is a risk of short circuits or other reasons. The nearby shops have taken steps to avoid further fire. The store owners claimed that property damage has been estimated at more than Rs 3 crore.
