Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao declared that he would achieve reservations to minorities and tribals by exerting pressure on the Union government.
The Chief Minister, addressing an election meeting in Kaghaznagar town in support of the party’s candidate from Sirpur (T) Koneru Konappa, said, “Resolutions by the Cabinet and the Assembly were sent to the Union government seeking a rise in reservations. But, Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied reservations to minorities and tribals. Is India his fiefdom to reject the reservations? We will
achieve them by bending neck of Union government if voted to power,” Rao asserted, adding he would like to see a non-BJP and non-Congress government at the Centre.
Rao claimed that no State out of 19 entities ruled by the BJP was implementing schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi, Aasara Pensions, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima. “Not more than 20 per cent of the people are benefited from Ayushman Bharat implemented by the BJP-led NDA. Aarogya Sri is 1,000 times better than that of the Centre,” he stated.
