Private hospitals across the state have stopped accepting Aarogyasri patients from Thursday midnight. Around 240 hospitals are participating in this stir. Hospitals association president Dr V Rakesh urged the government to resolve the issue amicably and on priority basis. The association also appealed to general public and Aarogyasri beneficiaries to understand their plight and extend

cooperation.

Hospital managements claimed that they are facing financial problems to run hospitals due to non payment of dues amounting to Rs 1500 crore pending for almost a year

Meanwhile, Health minister Etela Rajender took stock of the situation and sent a missive to the hospital association to come for talks on Friday 3 pm at Secretariat.
