The member hospitals of Telangana Network Hospitals Association (TANHA), which suspended all Aarogyasri healthcare services over pending medical bills on January 10, called off their protests on Monday and announced the restoration of all medical services to beneficiaries.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, who interacted with the members of TANHA on Monday, promised to work closely with Aarogyasri network hospitals and address several of their outstanding issues, including redrafting MoUs, revising Aarogyasri rates and clearing pending medical bills.
“We are thankful to the Health Minister for assuring all of us to resolve the matter of
clearing our pending medical bills within 4 to 5 months from now and also assured all of us regarding regular payments. He also assured us of creating a committee with Aarogyasri CEO and TANHA members to redraft MoUs,” the members of TANHA said.
During the course of the meeting, the Health Minister directed senior health officials to coordinate closely with the members of TANHA in the near future to sort out outstanding issues, including timely release of funds, revision of Aarogyasri rates.
The Health Minister also promised of revising health packages work and ensure small and mid-segment hospitals do not suffer loses, the TANHA members said.
