ACB case against KT Rama Rao a cheap political drama by Revanth Reddy: BRS

Senior BRS leaders lashed out at the Congress government for using fabricated cases against former Minister KT Rama Rao to divert public attention from its unfulfilled electoral promises, particularly the Rythu Bharosa scheme. They vowed to continue the legal battle against false charges against Rama Rao and others while simultaneously exposing the Congress government’s failures.

Former ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, V Srinivas Goud, Gangula Kamalakar and several others condemned the recent developments surrounding the ACB case against Rama Rao, terming it as political vendetta. “We will ensure that the people punish Congress for its deceit and anti-people policies,” they declared.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Jagadish Reddy lambasted the Congress for misleading the public after the High Court allowed further investigation into the Formula-E race case. He said the Congress was celebrating as if Rama Rao was found guilty.

“These are false cases aimed at diverting attention from their failure to deliver Rs 15,000 per acre under Rythu Bharosa. Revanth Reddy, not KT Rama Rao, will ultimately face the consequences for misusing investigative agencies,” he asserted.

Prashanth Reddy termed the ACB case as a cheap political drama by Revanth Reddy and blamed the Congress for shifting narratives on the case. “First, they alleged procedural lapses, then corruption, and now quid pro quo through electoral bonds,” he



said.

He ruled out quid pro quo, stating that neither Rama Rao, BRS, Formula-E Operations nor Greenko Group benefited from the transaction. He pointed out that Greenko Group incurred losses from hosting the Formula-E event and received no favours from the BRS government. He added that the Greenko Group also purchased electoral bonds of the Congress and the BJP.

Satyavathi Rathod stated that Rama Rao and the BRS were well prepared to face the false cases by the Congress government. However, she stated that Rama Rao was denied to exercise his rights during ACB questioning. “He was not allowed to enter the ACB office with his lawyers and had to submit his response on the road. Despite these tactics, we trust the judiciary, and Rama Rao will emerge clean,” she said.

Gangula Kamalakar and V Srinivas Goud said with his vendetta politics, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was causing severe damage to the brand image of Hyderabad as a global city. They suggested that the Congress focus on delivering its electoral promises, rather than targeting its political opponents for questioning the government’s failures.

Former Minister V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, BRS leaders Gongidi Sunitha, Kavitha Maloth and others stated that the Congress could not intimidate them with false cases and diversion tactics. They reminded that whenever the BRS raised issues of public interest, the Congress was filing false cases against its leaders including Padi Kaushik Reddy, Patnam Narender Reddy and now KT Rama Rao among others.
