The Anti Corruption Bureau conducted searches at the administrative building of the Telangana University at Dichpally on Tuesday. Three teams entered the building and seized hard disks from the computers.

The searches were conducted reporting following certain allegations against Vice Chancellor Prof. D. Ravinder Gupta. It was alleged that irregularities had taken place in the purchase of



materials, staff promotions and recruitment of outsourcing employees.

The university Executive Council, attended by senior IAS officials Naveen Mittal and Vakati Karuna had recommended action against Prof. Gupta. The Vice-Chancellor subsequently secured a stay order from the Telangana High Court against the decision of the Executive Council.
