Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao assured the people of Achampet constituency that their water woes would soon end.

Addressing a public meeting in Achampet, he wanted voters to decide on their vote taking into consideration who did what and who had really worked for them.

“The beneficiaries of the various government-sponsored programmes were in your midst. Even the pensioners are among you. Only one State that is providing round-the-clock free power is Telangana. The scale of input assistance given under the Rythu Bandhu scheme will be enhanced from Rs 8,000 per acre per year to Rs 10,000 once the TRS is back to power,” the Chief Minister said.

On the water front, he said: “We have been fighting with the Centre and the AP government to get our due share of

water”. Achampet would be given water for 1.5 lakh acres in new two years. Works were in progress on Dindi and Kalwakurthy projects, and once they were completed, the water issue would be addressed once and for all in the constituency, he said.

Rao promised the people of Achampet that an eco-tourism project would be promoted in the area. Similarly, power boats would be provided to fishermen enabling them to go fishing in Srisailam, he said.

The TRS chief said the victory of the party was certain. He would come to the constituency accompanied by all officials after the elections and devote one full day to discuss and address grievances. He appealed to the electorate to vote for Guvvala Balraj and ensure his victory with an overwhelming majority.
