With the rush at the single Customer Service Executive (CSE)/Biometric Counter in the Secunderabad Regional Passport Office increasing, officials have opened an additional counter with effect from Monday to avoid crowding and to reduce waiting time.

According to officials, till now, all the complex and deficient passport applications submitted at Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) at Begumpet, Ameerpet, Tolichowki & Nizamabad/Passport Seva Laghu Kendra (PSLK) at Karimnagar and various post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) in Telangana were being escalated and attended to at the Passport Back Office at the Regional



Passport Office, Secunderabad.

Further, to meet increasing demand and to reduce the waiting time in Post Office Passport Seva Kendras at Khammam and Warangal, the number of appointment slots have been increased from 60 to 80 with effect from Monday. 

Due to this increase in slots, the waiting time has been reduced from three days to the immediate next day at POPSK, Khammam and from 16 days to 3 days at POPSK, Warangal, officials said, adding that the measures were taken to ensure COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour and safety of the applicants during the pandemic.
