Adilabad: Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna performed special pujas seeking the blessings of the rain god for rains this Kharif season in the state at Thatiguda Colony in Adilabad town on Sunday. He participated in the special ritual ‘Gangamma Thalliki Gangabhishekam’ held by Gangaputhra Sangham.
He carried a kalasham on his head and walked to the lord Shiva temple, where he performed special puja to the presiding deity. Ramanna said that people perform special rituals and pujas to propitiate gods to bestow bountiful
rains, bumper harvest and prosperity.
The MLA, who also took part in ‘Bheemanna Panduga’ celebrated on the outskirts of Adilabad town, said the BRS government was implementing various welfare schemes for the development of various sections of society irrespective of caste and religion.
He hoped that the BRS would come to power for a third time in the state. BRS leaders Mettu Prahlad, Ashok Swamy, Saikumar and Sanjay and others were present.
