Shah Karim Al Hussaini, the Aga Khan IV arrived in Hyderabad on Monday on a three-day visit.
Shortly after reaching the city, the 81-year-old Shia spiritual leader went on a tour of the Qutub Shahi tombs, which the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is restoring.
Today, he is scheduled to meet Governor of Telangana and AP, ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and later in the day, he will meet deputy chief
minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali at the hotel where he is staying.
The Aga Khan IV is currently the Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims and he will spend time with the community here. He has come on a 10-day-visit to India on the invitation of Indian government. His tour coincides with the diamond jubilee year of his leadership as the community’s Imam. He is visiting followers across the world.
