The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday appointed senior leaders as election observers for five states including Telangana. Former MP from West Bengal Deepa Dasmunshi was appointed as senior election observer for Telangana and Dr Sirivella Prasad, AICC in-charge of Tamil Nadu, as observer for Telangana.
For Rajasthan, the AICC appointed former MP Madhusudan Mistry and Sasikanth Senthil, a former
IAS officer and Karnataka leader, as senior observer and observer. The respective appointments in other states were: Rajya Sabha memmer Randeep Singh Surjewala and Mumbai Congress president Chandrakanth Handore for Madhya Pradesh, six-time Uttarakhand legislator Pritam Singh and former MP Meenakshi Natarajan for Chhattishgarh, and Sachin Rao, in-charge of training, Sandesh, for Mizoram state.
