Akbaruddin Owaisi holds special meeting with Special Chief Secretary, Municipal Commissioner GHMC

Hyderabad: Janab Akbaruddin Owaisi Majlis leader Legislative Party, Chandrayangutta MLA was hold a special meeting at GHMC Office, Charminar zone along with Special Chief Secretary Municipal administration Arvind Kumar and GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar for development works, sanction of new works worth crores of rupees, development of Old City, better facilities for citizens, beautification of water bodies, road expansion, junction improvement. 

Majlis leader moots to build an alternate bridge in Falaknuma. The Officers said that Krishna water line shifting is underway, within 2 months it will be completed. Later the Railway and GHMC bridge works will be completed. 

Officers told the Majlis leader that Chandrayangutta flyover expansion work will be completed till June. They agree to do the beautification and greenery works at Chandrayangutta, Owaisi Hospital Junction, Kandikal Gate flyover. Funds will be provided immediately. 

Two new flyovers has been sanctioned for Chandrayangutta assembly constituency. Tenders will be invited for the flyovers shortly. With the cost of 300 crore, one flyover will be built on Bandlaguda main road, Nafees garden to Moghal College near Crystal Township. Another flyover to be built on Babanagar main road, Metro Function Hall via Shoeb Hotel and will be connected to Chandrayangutta flyover as advice has been given by the Majlis leader. 

Apart from that, Janab Akbaruddin Owaisi has given the representation to construct a flyover at Mailardevpally Police Station Opp. Junction. He demanded with the Special Secretary and Municipal Commissioner to make the widening of flyover at Owaisi Hospital Opp Junction and divert one way to Santosnagar and emphasise to start the construction work, which is readily accepted by the Officers. The representation has been given to step up fast work for the widening of roads in 

Chandrayangutta. Municipal officers make a road trip to assess the latest situation. 

The representation has given to widening of roads at Nafees Garden to Errakunta Road, Shoeb Hotel to Balapur Road, GHMC New Office to Naseeb Nagar main road. The representation



also gave about fast completion of works which were left unattended. Emphasis has been given to complete the road widening works from Chandrayangutta to Srisailam road. 

The Majlis leader has raised the question about rain water discharge from Umdasagar to Palle Cheruvu on which Arvind Kumar replied that the Strategic Nala Development Programme has been sanctioned. Tenders will be invited shortly. 

With the cost of 200 crore, the rain water system will be improved in Chandrayangutta. Municipal authorities told Janab Akbaruddin Owaisi that the construction works of the stadium in Bandlaguda is delayed but construction work will be completed till the end of March.

Majlis leader said that the Charminar Pedestrian Project works need to be sped up. Road widening works around Charminar should be completed very fast. The road widening works in Doodh Bowli, Fateh Darwaza have been pending. 

Janab Ahmed Pasha Qadri Yakutpura MLA said that in his constituency four road widening works were sanctioned. Notices have been given to the house owners but road widening works are still pending. He said that tenders have been issued for Nala widening and repairing works in Jahangir Nagar, Moghalpura Municipal Division,Chotapul. Despite inviting tenders so many times but agency is not showing any interest in these works. The Special Secretary said that all works will be completed before monsoon. 

Janab Jafar Hussain Meraj Nampally MLA demanded an early start of Underpass work in Rethi Bowli, Nanal Nagar and complete the work on war footing. Due to heavy traffic problems, the construction of Underpass is necessary. For Corridor and Underpass work, 145 crore have been sanctioned. Janab Jafar Hussain Meraj also demanded that they need to sanction the construction of a multi level flyover from GVK Banjara Hills to Masab Tank. The suggestion had been given from 2018 he said.; 

In the Special meeting, Chief Engineer GHMC Ziauddin, Zonal Commissioner Ashok Samrat, Chief City Planner Devender, Bandlaguda Tahsildar, Water Works Department and other department officers were present.
