All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi visited hospitals in the Old City areas of Nizamia Tibbi, Kamatipura, and Barkas on Wednesday to oversee the ongoing renovation projects.
During his visit, he inspected the construction site of a new 100-bed hospital building in Kamatipura. This project, with a sanctioned budget of `42 crore from the health department, will comprise a G+6 floor structure covering 94,100 square feet and will boast state-of-the-art
facilities.
Owaisi encouraged officials to expedite the construction process. Additionally, he proposed the transformation of Barkas UPHC into a 100-bed Area hospital, at an estimated cost of `12.30 crore for adding an extra floor to the existing building.
Further plans include the construction of a new 50-bed hospital building within the Dabeerpura UPHC premises and the renovation of the Nizamia Tibbi College and Unani Hospital, totaling an estimated cost of Rs 33.70 crore.
