Akshara chit fund agent ends life in Karimnagar

Unable to tolerate pressure by customers to clear chit amounts, the agent of a private chit fund company, Akshara Chit Funds Chintala Rajaiah died by suicide in Karimnagar on Saturday.

A resident of Malkapur locality, Rajaiah hanged himself in his home. Rajaiah, who worked as an agent in Akshara Chit



Funds, had enrolled some people in the chit. However, as the properties of the chit fund company were seized recently, customers started mounting pressure on Rajaiah for their money. Unable to tolerate the pressure, he resorted to the extreme step. Police shifted the body to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
