Akshayakalpa adopts Peeran Cheruvu Lake, removes 3,200 kg of plastic

Akshayakalpa Organic has adopted 35-acre Peeran Cheruvu Lake, PBEL City, Hyderabad, for its ecological restoration. For the past five-months, as part of this initiative, the company has been holding a monthly ‘Peeran Cheruvu Lake Clean-Up’ drive, which improved the lake’s health and reduced plastic waste, a press release from the company said.

Cheruvu Lake, known for its picturesque views, short hiking trails, and support for local fishermen, has faced growing plastic pollution and gradual environmental degradation. To combat this, Akshayakalpa Organic mobilized its workforce and collaborated with the local community to successfully remove approximately 3,200 kilograms of plastic waste, significantly improving the lake’s condition.
