Over 175 vicechancellors from 23 states will participate in an all India vicechancellor's conference to be held at the Osmania University on Friday as part of its three day centenary celebrations.
During the meet vice-chancellors will deliberate on various issues related to higher education, policies and its implementation, past successes and challenges to design evidencebased approaches to meet future requirements in the sector.The VCs will broadly
discuss three important aspects of higher education -faculty, funding and freedom.
Vice-chancellors from four foreign countries -Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Nepal -will also participate in the conference.
The meet is being organised by Association of Indian Universities. State education minister Kadiyam Srihari, will be present as chief guest, which will be held at the IICT Auditorium on the premises.
