The Telangana State government is likely to install CCTV cameras at all new police stations in the newly-formed districts of the state on the lines of Tamil Nadu.

A three-member team of officers-IGP (Intelligence) Naveen Chand, additional DGP (law & order) Anjani Kumar and TS Police Housing Corporation managing director B Malla Reddy-which visited Tamil Nadu to study usage of technology in police stations in that state would submit a report to the government here on providing more advanced technology which includes installation of CCTV cameras and providing more facilities in new police stations of districts.



justify;">Following the creation of new districts, 93 new police stations, 28 police circles, 23 sub-divisional offices and nine police commissionerates are coming up in the state.

To provide proper and latest technologies in the new stations, DGP Anurag Sharma formed the three-member committee and asked it to visit Tamil Nadu to study the functioning of police stations there. Anjani Kumar is said to be giving final touches to a comprehensive report to be submitted to the DGP soon.
