A door-to-door fever survey commenced in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits on Friday. Teams comprising of an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and staffers from the GHMC and Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare collected contact details of individuals with Covid-19 symptoms.
Home isolation kits were also distributed to people with symptoms and their health status would be
followed up, said officials of the civic body. The teams also referred some persons to the nearest Basti Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) for treatment.
Based on the data collected by the teams, spraying of disinfectants would be taken up. Special sanitisation drives would be taken up in the areas where a large number of fever cases were reported during the survey. The door-door survey is aimed at containing the spread of Covid-19 in the city.
