BJP national president Amit Shah will arrive in the city on Friday on a day-long visit to prepare the party cadres for general elections in 2019.
State president K Laxman, speaking to the media on Thursday, said Shah will interact with party vistharaks and election committee members to chalk out plans for next general elections.
Shah will arrive at Begumpet airport by a special flight from Patna at 10:30 AM and the Hyderabad unit of the party had made elaborate arrangements to
give a rousing welcome to the national president. Later, he will reach the State party office and take part in meetings.
Laxman said: “Target Telangana is the motto behind Shah’s visit, when he will also meet with prominent persons at the party office.” A road map to garner more Assembly and Parliament seats in the State will also be discussed, he said, adding that the outcome of the recent Chaitanya Yatra will also be discussed at the meeting.
