Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said Sri Ramanujacharya's 'Statue of Equality' will give the message of 'Vishishtadvaita', equality and 'Sanatana' dharma to the entire world for years to come.

Speaking after visiting the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad, Mr Shah said Sri Ramanujachary’s ideals and message are relevant even today and they continue to inspire generation to come.

He offered special prayers to the 11th Century Bhakti Saint at his Thousandth Anniversary celebrations being held at Muchinthal near Hyderabad.

Ramanujacharya who promoted the idea of equality in all aspects of living, including faith, caste and creed. Mr Shah said the saint worked tirelessly for the upliftment of people with the spirit that every human being equal regardless of nationality, gender, race, caste or creed.

Home Minister said mind gets instilled with peace and happiness by looking at the statue.

He inaugurated the theatre at the Base Buidling called Bhadravedi where the 216 feet tall statue is located. Mr Shah also took part in the religious events taking place ta the Ashram.
