Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand on Monday took over as director of the Telangana State Police Integrated Command Control Centre (TSPICCC). Anand also holds additional charge of Telangana State Narcotics Bureau (TS NAB).
The TSPICCC, located in the iconic twin towers at Banjara Hills, houses the city police commissionerate, the statewide operations centres, TSNAB, TS Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB), among others
After assuming charge on Monday, Anand first inspected ongoing projects and then convened a meeting with the staff. Sharing the vision and objectives of TSPICCC, Anand advised them to work to synergise and leverage technology, data analysis,apps and other elements to render good service to the public.
It was also decided to pursue with all other departments like GHMC and irrigation to locate their teams in the command control centre so as to start the process of multiagency operations in
a synchronised form, according to a statement.
Formulation of targets, work allotment to the officers, meticulous budget projections, and the articulation of a comprehensive action plan was also discussed in the meeting.
Anand also officials directed to initiate tenders for establishing vital amenities within the building, including a canteen and gymnasium.
"The strategic decision to relocate Dial 100, centres of excellence and reinforce existing wings while introducing new ones underlines the state government’s consistent commitment to fortify law enforcement capabilities."
These wings will interplay to effectively mitigate the emerging challenges, fortify security and render swift response during calamities through the multi-agency operations centre and the disaster and crisis management centre in the TSPICCC building," Anand said.
