TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud courted controversy on Monday when he said during the Nizamabad Rythu Mahotsavam that Andhra farmers from Prakasam, Krishna and Guntur districts had settled in the region and taught farming to local farmers.

Many Andhra farmers were settled in Banswada, Bodhan, Dichpally and other areas due to water availability through Nizam Sagar

project. However, of late, the harvest was coming down and water availability was also declining in Nizamabad, he said.

The Congress government was delivering good governance as per people’s aspirations. All the guarantees would be implemented during the next three years, he said, also claiming that the Congress would retain power by winning 90 seats in the next elections.
