The Hyderabad city police commissioner Anjani Kumar flagged off the 12th batch of Haj pilgrims at the Haj terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, on Tuesday.

Addressing Haj pilgrims, he requested the people from the state to maintain peace, tranquility and uphold composite culture of Hyderabad city while on their pilgrimage.

"Everyone one should pay attention towards discipline, cleanliness and prayers during the hold pilgrimage. And you must carry all the related documents along with you during this journey,'' said Hyderabad police



commissioner, Anjani Kumar.

The State Haj Committee chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan said pilgrims are guests of Allah and serving them was an honour for him. Saleem urged the pilgrims to abstain from social media and concentrate on prayers during the Haj.

Special Officer Haj Committee Prof S A Shukoor said the Haj committee also makes arrangements for the departure of Haj pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. So far 3,600 pilgrims from Hyderabad have reached the sacred destination of Makkah Masjid in Saudi Arabia.
