Anjani Kumar is Hyderabad police commissioner

Telangana government on Sunday appointed 1990-batch IPS officer Anjani Kumar as the fulltime police commissioner for Hyderabad. 

Similarly, 1996-batch IPS officer and Inspector General VC Sajjanar was appointed Cyberabad police commissioner, replacing incumbent Sandeep Shandilya, who was



promoted as additional director-general .

Kumar had worked in Hyderabad commissionerate as ACP during the restive statehood movement and also after Telangana was formed. The DU alumnus ushered police reforms, led elite anti-Maoist force Greyhounds.
