In-charge Director General of Police Anjani Kumar on Wednesday reviewed the law and order situation with senior officials in the wake of the incident that took place at Karmanghat in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate limits.

The Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda, CV Anand, Stephen Ravindra and Mahesh M Bhagwat respectively along with Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order) Jitender, Additional Director-General of Police (Intelligence) Anil Kumar, IG Nagireddy and other senior officials were present for the meeting.

During the meeting, it was resolved that firm action will be taken against communal offenders and those who try to disturb communal harmony in

the State. The Rachakonda police has already registered five cases in this regard and many offenders have already been taken into custody.

“No individual or group will be allowed to take law into their own hands. It is the responsibility of the individual or group to inform police if they have any information. Police will take action immediately,” Anjani Kumar said.

History sheets and communal sheets will be opened against any violators of law, he said.

Since Telangana has been progressing fast, none will be allowed to tarnish its image by creating communal tension, he said, issuing a stern warning to mischief-mongers.
