Union Minister Anurag Thakur has stressed on the need to educate the people about the importance of bringing out the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for betterment of future generations. He took part in a rally held in Karimnagar in Telangana yesterday evening in support to the CAA. Telangana BJP has taken up 12-day long mass contact campaign in support to the CAA.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Thakur said there is a need to educate people about the importance of the legislation. He also urged BJP cadres to take active participation in educating
people about the CAA.
Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanja alleged that the opposition parties like AIMIM are holding anti CAA campaign to spread misinformation to protect their political interests.
Similarly, another rally held in Peddapally town and party senior leaders including former MP G Vivekanand participated. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vivekanand said that the CAA is not against the citizens of the country but the opposition parties are playing vote bank politics on the same.
