A group of 128 National Cadet Corps cadets, selected from among 1.3 lakh students of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate, left for Delhi for Republic Day Camp (RDC). They were selected from nine groups through inter-group competitions.

The cadets underwent training and further screenings in three intensive camps hosted at the Military Garrison in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. Merit played a pivotal role in shaping the contingent, with a focus on excellence, an official notice said.

The training encompassed competitions, including the march past



(featuring only female cadets), best cadet, PM's rally, cultural shows (including group song, group dance and ballet), aero modelling and sip modelling, national integration awareness, among others. Experts in each field provided specialised training to hone the skills of the cadets.

NCC Deputy Director-General, Air Commodore V.M. Reddy, expressed confidence in the team's capabilities. At Nampally railway station, he, along with other officers, bid farewell to the enthusiastic cadets. The team is scheduled to return on January 30.
