Asaduddin Owaisi charms audience with Telugu speech in World Telugu Conference

The inaugural ceremony of the World Telugu Conference (WTC) turned out to be a platform for speakers to display their Telugu language skills. If Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao mesmerised the audience with their vast knowledge and oratory skills in Telugu, Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan and even Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi surprised all by speaking in chaste Telugu.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi took everyone by surprise when he delivered his entire



speech in Telugu. He said Telangana was making new strides in various fields like IT, industries and irrigation without losing its cultural identity. He pointed out that Telangana State was a symbol of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood. “In Telangana, I am a Urdu-speaking person from Hyderabad. But for the outside world, I am identified as a Telugu person from Telangana,” he declared. He recalled contributions of Muslim authors to Telugu language and said Alhmadullah Sharif translated Quran into Telugu.
