Asaduddin Owaisi urges TSRTC to increase services in Old City

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday urged officials of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) to increase frequency of buses and extension of bus routes in parts of Old City.

He chaired a meeting with TSRTC officials at Darussalam and requested the officials to ply mini buses via Khursheed Jah Devedi, which will enable students of Hussaini Alam Government College for girls to travel quickly.

Owaisi said that there was also a need to start air conditioned buses from Charminar to Golconda, which will be very helpful for tourists to visit heritage sites. The MIM leader urged TSRTC officials to restore bus route No 82 from Bagh e Jahan Ara to Charminar.

Afzal Gunj, Nampally, Mehdipatnam, Langarhouse and Moinabad was introduced for the benefit of students from Engineering, Pharmacy and Management streams who travel to Himayatsagar, Moinabad, and Chevella from old city

Last month the MIM president had also requested Managing Director, TSRTC, to restore bus services of route No 82, additional bus services on route no 5, 6, 80, 80S, 65G, 66G, and 142 via Golconda fort, to restore the bus services on route 80 ( Afzal Gunj to Golconda fort) and 80S (Afzal Gunj to Shaikpet) which is disconnected and route no 288 via Golconda to Moinabad and 505 via Golconda to Shankarpally.

Divisional Manager, Charminar Sudha Parimala pointed out and said the above said route were regularised and additional new services also started.
