Aurum Equity Partners announced an investment of $400 million in phases to build a next-generation, AI-powered, green data centre in the city after a meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu at Palo Alto, California, on Friday. This strategic decision builds on their initial plan to invest $50 million announced last year. The company has now decided to establish a cutting-edge AI-powered data centre designed to cater to both hyperscalers and enterprises, with a total investment of $ 400 million.
Speaking after the meeting, Revanth Reddy said that they were happy that Aurum has decided to build the centre in Hyderabad as it would also create jobs. Venkat Bussa, chairman and CEO of Aurum Equity
Partners, stated that their next-generation data centre framework had been designed to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban India. “This initiative will make government services such as e-seva, e-payment, and e-education accessible to all, supporting our mission to connect every corner of the nation,” he said.
This investment underscores their commitment to further India’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that both urban and rural areas have equal access to essential government services, he said. Sridhar Babu said that development underscores the significant rise of Hyderabad as a data centre hub. The stress and accent are clearly on AI-powered initiatives, green energy and sustainability.
