Azaan School principal's bail rejected by High Court

The Hyderabad High Court on Friday dismissed the bail granted by a lower court to Mohammed Jeelani, accused for sexually assaulting a minor girl of Azaan International School, Tolichowki.

Justice Shameem Akther allowed the criminal petition of the Station House Officer, Golconda Police Station, to cancel the bail granted to the accused by the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad.

The judge considered the submissions of the Telangana State Public Prosecutor



Pratap Reddy that as per the medical evidence, the girl was sexually assaulted by the accused on the school premises on September 14.

Jeelani, the school supervisor, was arrested and booked under Sections 376 2(i) IPC and Section 5 (M) r/w 6 PoCSO (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences) Act-2012 following complaint by a parent that her four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who was studying in Azaan International School, was sexually assaulted.
