B Janardhan Reddy directs officials to address grievances

GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy has directed officials to address the grievances on a priority basis. As many as 43,388 complaints were lodged and of these, 37,471 were addressed. The rest were yet to be fixed and during a meeting with electrical wing officials, the Commissioner instructed them to fix the complaints at the earliest.

After installation of LED streetlights, the GHMC managed a



total monetary savings of Rs 75.21 crore from July 2017 to July 2018 through savings on power bills, savings due to stoppage of procurement of material and due to rationalisation of manpower. As part of an agreement with GHMC, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (A central Govemment PSU) has replaced 4, 08, 352 conventional lights with LED ones and only 1800 lights were pending.
