BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday urged Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to immediately ensure payment of pension dues pending for two months in several districts to former government servants. In a letter to the Chief Minister, Sanjay said "under your leadership, the rich state of Telangana has turned into one groaning under debt burden.
Pensioners, who are senior citizens, have requirements related to their health care and other regular needs and it is an
insult that despite this knowledge, your government is not paying pensions on time. In Karimnagar district alone, there are dues for 460 pensioners and similar is the case with many others in several other districts."
Sanjay also demanded setting up of a pay revision commission (PRC) for teachers, saying the current PRC’s term would conclude at the end of the month and a new commission needed to come into being by July.
