After a prolonged dry spell of nearly ten days, heavy rains lashed Hyderabad on Friday night. The Telangana Development Planning Society recorded significant rainfall across Hyderabad, with some areas receiving more than 60 mm.

Bansilalpet witnessed 68.5 mm of rainfall, the highest, followed closely by Gunfoundry, which received 68.3 mm of rainfall. Uppal recorded 67.0 mm, Begum Bazar 62.8 mm



and Nacharam 61.3 mm of rainfall.

The rains were widespread, with several other parts of the city also receiving heavy showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has issued a forecast predicting continued rainfall for the next two days, with isolated heavy showers expected across Hyderabad and surrounding districts.
