Unity is the need of the hour and that is what Telangana Jagruthi achieved by bringing people from different parts of the globe at one place for the Telangana Jagruthi International Youth Leadership Conference (TJIYLC), said Governor ESL Narasimhan.
In his address to the delegates on the concluding day of the conference, Narasimhan said, “I have been observing Telangana Jagruthi from the beginning and it has been performing remarkably.”
Stressing the need for inculcating peace among people which could be achieved through non-violence, he said there was a need for tolerance which was the most important thing and shun intolerance and only then one could achieve their objective.
“We need to fight poverty, illiteracy, disease and create friendly environment. We also need to build inclusive society by
breaking barriers between gender, caste, colour, region and religion which would result in unity and peace in society,” he emphasised.
On education, Narasimhan said if a man was educated, he would become the breadwinner of his family but if a girl pursued studies, then the whole family would be educated and it was important to educate girls. “There is need for enhancement in women empowerment for their safety, security and better future,” he added.
He urged youngsters to think out of the box and utilise technology for societal benefits which could help various sectors such as education, healthcare and human resources. The Governor also appealed to the younger generation to strive towards increasing green cover and requested everyone to plant more trees for a green future.
