Begumpet Railway Station to be All Women Station from March 8

The South Central Railway has taken the initiative to make the Begumpet Railway Station an ‘All Women Station’ from March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

Across the zone, three stations will thus have women staff to handle all the day to day activities including train operations, ticketing, security and other relevant



duties. 

At Begumpet railway station, one of the busiest stations on the division, SCR is planning to deploy eight women Commercial Clerks, four Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerks, six Constables and one Sub-Inspector of Railway Protection Force to handle the day to day operations and to provide smooth and hassle free service to passengers.
