Kothagudem: Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam at Bhadrachalam is being decked up for Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams celebrated from March 30 to April 12.

Temple authorities along with the endowment, revenue, health and police departments have been engaged in making arrangements for Seetharama Kalyanam which would be celebrated on April 6 and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam the next day.

It might be noted that Dolotsavam, Vasantotsavam, pounding of turmeric and mixing of talambralu took place on March 14 at the temple marking the commencement of Brahmotsavam rituals.

Endowment Commissioner E Sridhar along with district Collector Jitesh V Patil, ITDA Project Officer B Rahul, Bhadrachalam ASP Vikrant Kumar Singh and the temple EO L Ramadevi reviewed the arrangements being made for the celebrations, on Wednesday.

Drinking water and buttermilk packets would be provided to the devotees in the parking areas and sectors. 25 drinking water points, 162 toilets and three mobile toilets have been arranged at 15 places with 560 staff.

To ensure safety of devotees, barricading was done at river Godavari where life jackets, lifebuoys, 20 swimmers, 15 risk boats were arranged and danger signs were put up. About 13 medical camps with five ambulances, 30 field stop, a special ward, an ICU in the Area Hospital and a 24-hour ambulance were readied, the Collector said.

The temple EO informed that for the comfort of devotees 250 ceiling fans, 100 air coolers and air conditioning with a combined capacity of 50 tons would be installed around Mithila Stadium. The temple was decorated with colourful lighting.
