Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday said that the government's new initiative ‘Bhu Bharathi’ would protect land, including those owned by private and government, for a hundred years. During the review meeting with officials a day ahead of the portal’s launch on Monday, Dr B.R. Ambedkar jayanti, the Chief Minister said that the Bhu Bharathi portal was designed in a way that even the common farmer can understand the details of their land properly.

“The Bhu Bharathi portal should stay at least 100 years in protecting the lands including private, government, forest and others without any confusion,” he said. The Chief Minister also directed the officials to ensure that the Bhu Bharati portal has the farmer’s details such as his name, father's name, survey numbers, size of lands and

location, neighbours lands details indicating the border of the respective lands.

The portal will provide maps of land issued by the revenue officers and surveyor after proper verification with signature and date should be uploaded on the portal.

"Officials must take measures for security of the Bhu Bharathi portal by installing firewalls to prevent security issues and curb the data thefts. It will be good if the responsibility of managing Bhu Bharati is handed over to a trusted organisation,” the Chief Minister said. “Similarly, the officials must also focus on the previous complaints received during the BRS government tenure from Dharani issues to clear them in a phased manner," said the Chief Minister.
