Congress and BJP have come up with their manifestos using similar schemes of Telangana, TRS working president KT Rama Rao said.
Speaking at a meeting at Mansurabad division of LB Nagar segment here in the presence of TRS MP candidate M Rajasekhar Reddy, Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy and others, the TRS working president said the two national parties have announced their manifestos comprising schemes like that of the TRS schemes. “Our schemes have been appreciated at national level and the BJP and the Congress parties used them in their manifestos to woo voters during the parliamentary polls, he claimed.
“Our State (Telangana) has become an ideal at national level and the States as well as the Centre have followed us. Against the previous debate on West Bengal and Gujarat models of development, now the TRS rule of five years was being much appreciated everywhere within just five years of its rule. Eight States like Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkand and Andhra Pradesh and the Centre have copied our Rythu Bandhu scheme and implementing the farmers welfare schemes.
Even Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who used to blame the TRS, has used it and launched Annadatha Sukhibhava, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched PM Kisan scheme to help farmers across the
country, he said, adding that the credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his vision. The Manifestos released by the BJP and the Congress have almost similar schemes of welfare and development. Thus, the national parties are copying our schemes”, he added.
KTR said, “Ours is the working government to expand Metro Rail to Hayatnagar, International Airport from LB Nagar and keep the promises. The Centre did not give funds to our Metro Rail project and gave Rs 18,000 crore for its expansion and denied funds to development”, he said.
KTR further said Rs 450 crore worth development programs started in the LB Nagar segment and will resolve land, registration and other key issues in other municipalities also. The TRS government solved power problem and supplying 24 hour power to farm sector while during the Congress regime there were protest dharnas for power.
The BJP came to power with huge majority by winning 283 seats and now the Modi Government will not get even 150 MP seats as the people lost faith on it and the Congress may hardly get 100 seats. Thus the regional parties will play a key role in the Centre to form a coalition government. He appealed to the people to elect 16 MPs of the TRS for development of Telangana.
