At this juncture, no welfare measures have been taken so far by the BJP led NDA Government the CPM politburo member alleged. The CPM has to intensify its protest programs nationwide to press the Centre to do something for the working class he said. Veerabhadram criticized that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to keep manifesto promises including lakhs of jobs and welfare steps for the workers. He attributed the anti-people policies of the TRS Government to the comments made by Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao. He found fault with the government for distributing sweets among themselves during May Day event and later forgetting to take necessary steps. The minister should make comments that will not hamper the interests of the labour class.
