Adilabad: The BJP has launched a Tiffin Baithak programme in the state to activate the cadre and strengthen the party from the grassroots level. The idea is also to improve the relations between the leaders and cadre.
The programme is popular in Gujarat. Party cadre and leaders carry their own tiffin box (food) for the scheduled meeting and issues will be discussed while also having lunch. The BJP launched the first programme in TS in Malyal village in Ichoda mandal as part of the Mahajan sampark Abhiyan.
BJP state committee member Suhasini Reddy, who participated in the event, said local party activists and leaders felt comfortable and became more confident when they sat along with senior leaders and MLAs and MPs and discussed matters in an informal
atmosphere.
The BJP would organise the Tiffin Baithak programme in the identified villages, discuss the local issues and try to get them resolved with the intervention of senior leaders.
The party is already focusing on the polling booth committees and Shakti Kendras in order to strengthen the party in the run-up to the assembly elections in Telangana. Adilabad BJP MP Soyam Bapu Rao and BJP district president Payal Shankar participated in the Tiffin Baithak in Malyal village in Ichoda mandal.
Soyam Bapu Rao called upon the cadre to strive hard to strengthen the party in the villages and also focus on polling booth committees and Shakti Kendras. Payal Shankar said Prime Minister Modi liked the Tiffin Baithak programme very much.
