BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said that his party will elect its legislature party leader at a meeting convened by party president J.P. Nadda on December 24.
Asked who will attend the Business Advisory Council (BAC) on behalf of the BJP before the Assembly session, he said, "I have no objection to any of them attending it. This is not a big."
Of the eight MLAs, three-time MLA T. Raja Singh is the main contendor and others in the race are
Nirmal MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, a veteran Congress leader who had defected before the elections, and Kamareddy ‘giant-killer’ MLA Venkataramana Reddy.
With the party having announced that it would make a Backward Classes candidate the CM, it cannot be seen setting aside Raja Singh, the lone BJP legislator from the community.
In the last Assembly, the party had not named any of its three MLAs as BJLP leader.
