The BJP State leadership on Friday thanked the people of Hyderabad for chosoing BJP as an alternate force in the State. They alleged that the TRS misused official machinery which prevented BJP from gaining the GHMC Mayor’s post by a few seats.
Speaking to mediapersons at the BJP State headquarters here, party’s State president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar said instead of surgical strikes, the BJP conducted a saffron strike on Hyderabad.
He stated that people gave a mandate for BJP and against the “corrupt” practices of the TRS government. He said the BJP cadre fought against all odds and won the GHMC polls.
“People have taught a lesson to the TRS leadership in both Dubbak bypoll and GHMC elections. In 2023, the car will go to the shed,” he said.
Sanjay Kumar said the BJP will “dedicate its victory to the State Election Commission and the police authorities who created several hurdles for the BJP at the behest of Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao.”
“The BJP State leadership will fight for development and self-respect. We are not against any section of society, but we will not tolerate any attacks on Hindutva. We will fight anti-people’s decisions,” he said.
