The BJP said that Rythu Bandhu, the flagship scheme of the BRS government, was not the solution to problems that farmers face in the state, and the wrong policies on the agriculture front had resulted in mounting problems.
State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Thursday said his party’s plans to solve farmers’ problems and for their welfare will be announced on August 27, at the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ public meeting in Khammam to be addressed by Union home minister Amit
Shah.
"It is the BRS government that is responsible for the plight of Telangana farmers. The KCR government has repeatedly cheated farmers, particularly tenant farmers who have been completely ignored. This government has made farmers suffer by not implementing crop insurance, and is now trying to cheat them by claiming it has cleared the Rs 1 lakh farm loan waiver dues without actually paying this exact sum to the banks," Kishan Reddy said.
