BJP to contest all 119 seats alone in Telangana: Laxman

BJP national president Amit Shah would blow election conch and campaign in Telangana State from September 15, said State party president Dr K Laxman here yesterday.

Laxman, who is here participating in national executive meeting told the media that Amit Shah would kick start election campaigning from Mahbubnagar on September 15 and address a public meeting. The people want a Modi-type corruption-free government in the State and the BJP would emerge as an alternative to the TRS, he



added.

The leaders of TRS and Congress, who are not happy with their party policies, family rule, dictatorial tendencies and working style, are approaching the BJP, Laxman said, adding that the party would give an opportunity to those who have winning chances. He said the State-level committee would soon be set up to select candidates for all the 119 Assembly seats in the State. He also made it clear that the party would contest elections on its own.
