The BJP on Wednesday issued a strong call urging the public to reject the BRS in the upcoming Assembly elections.
BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy said, "Telangana state needs to be rescued from the BRS and its government. Do not vote for the BRS. There is an urgent need to dethrone the highly corrupt Kalvakuntla family. And as much as 75 per cent of the people of the state want this present government to go."
Addressing a substantial gathering of the BJP polling booth level leaders and workers from the Chevella constituency, Kishan Reddy said people should see beyond the facade of the BRS and Congress appearing to be adversaries when, in reality, they are collaborating.
The meeting saw the presence of former
MP from Chevella, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, former MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, and other senior BJP leaders.
Kishan Reddy pointed out that the K. Chandrashekar Rao government had failed to fulfil any of its promises, whether it was providing two-bedroom houses to the poor, implementing Dalit Bandhu, or waiving farm loans.
He stated, "Even the BRS government's claim that it is now paying the farm loan waiver dues to banks is a mere gimmick. Over the years since it made the promise, the interest and compounded interest on the pending loans have, in many cases, exceeded the amounts borrowed by farmers. Do not believe the BRS and its leaders when they say they have kept their promises."
