Chevella: Asserting that the BJP would form government in Telangana in the December 2023 Assembly elections, Union home minister Amit Shah declared on Sunday that the BJP government would abolish the four per cent quota given to Muslims in education and employment, contending that there is no provision in the Constitution to provide reservations on the basis of religion.

Addressing a massive gathering at the Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha in Chevella, Shah said that Muslim reservation in government jobs and education was unconstitutional and that only the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) populations were entitled to reservations.

"We will form government in Telangana and end Muslim reservation," Shah declared, while stating that the BRS government had been implementing reservation for the minorities even in the two-bedroom scheme.

Further, claiming that the BRS had created a map of India showing Kashmir as being independent, Shah stated, "You insulted India by calling it ‘Azad Kashmir’ to please the Majlis and people of Telangana have been seeking an explanation on this." The BJP's senior leader predicted that Goddess Maha Lakshmi sitting on a lotus would bring prosperity to Telangana, effectively ending the Majlis-driven KCR government. "KCR has shamelessly carried out Owaisi's agenda. He is scared of the Majlis, but not the BJP. The Telangana government will work for the people of Telangana, not the Owaisis," Shah remarked.

Shah mocked the TRS for changing its name to the BRS and asserted that the countdown for the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government in Telangana has already begun, exuding confidence that the party will lose in Telangana. "Forget playing a crucial role in national politics, the party is going

to lose in Telangana," he stated.

"KCR has been flying the dream of becoming Prime Minister.  Forget becoming the PM, first retain your Chief Ministership. The Prime Minister's post is not vacant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would return to power with absolute majority," he remarked.  Shah questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's silence on the TS Public Service Commission paper leak and challenged him to order an investigation by a Supreme Court judge.

"KCR has no moral basis for remaining in his chair even for a minute given that he has ruined the futures of lakhs of unemployed young people and played with their lives. After failing to fulfil its election promise of massive recruitment in the government sector in the previous eight years, KCR and his government tried to fill vacancies in a hurry and could not ensure fair examinations," he noted.

Regarding the arrest of state BJP president Bandi Sanjay, Shah asserted that Chandrashekar Rao could not keep the party leader in jail even for 24 hours as the court had granted him bail.

He said that the BJP administration, when it is formed, would arrest every single person involved for the paper leaking, wherever they may be hiding. "BJP activists are not afraid of jail and would continue to expose the injustice meted out to youth," he said. "BJP activists are not afraid of going to jail and will continue to expose the injustice meted out to youth," he added, adding that when the BJP government is formed, it will arrest everyone guilty for the TSPSC paper leakage, no matter where they are hiding.

Shah accused the Chandrashekar Rao family, claiming they had used the government as an ATM and were robbing
