Mahbubabad: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said the BJP would set up a turmeric board, provide a remunerative price for red jowar and reopen Nizam Sugar Factory at Bodhan, if the party comes to power at the Centre.

Addressing a public meeting here, the Union Minister said the NSF would be reopened with the help of industrialists. Stating that the people of Telangana had elected the TRS in the Assembly elections, Rajnath Singh said in Lok Sabha elections, however, people would vote for the BJP to ensure stable and secure government at the Centre. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had provided security and development in the last five years. Five years ago, India was in the 9th place in the world economy but had now moved up to 6th place,” he said, adding that by 2028, the country’s economy would be in the top three if the BJP was in power.

Stating

that the world’s perception that India was a weak country had changed after the BJP came to power, Singh said after the terror attacks in Uri and Pulwama, the Indian Armed Forces had carried out surgical strikes and killed terrorists in Pakistan. “If Pakistan does not stop training camps for terrorists, India would give a fitting reply which only BJP can do,” he said.

Addressing a meeting at Mahabubabad, Rajnath promised to resolve issues related to Podu lands. It would also look into the issue of setting up the Bayyaram steel factory in the district.

Alleging that the Congress had failed the nation, he said: “While the Congress government constructed 25 lakh houses in 10 years, the Modi government has constructed 1.20 crore houses. It has also provided LPG connection to each of the poor,” he said.
